UW-Stout outfielder Mary Iliopoulos and utility player Kyncaide Diedrich were selected to the 2018 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III All-Great Lake Region softball team. Iliopoulos was a first team All-Region selection and Diedrich a second team choice.
Iliopoulos led the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) in batting average, posting a school record-tying average of .500, going 49-of-98 at the plate. The mark also tied the WIAC single season batting average record. Iliopoulos ranked 12th nationally in batting average and also ranked nationally in stolen bases, finishing 37th.
With seven doubles, two triples and two home runs, Iliopoulos, a first-team all-WIAC pick, commanded a slugging percentage of .673. She led the WIAC in hits (49) and runs scored (35). During one conference doubleheader, Iliopoulos hit safely in her first seven at-bats and finished 8-of-9 over the two games. Iliopoulos finished with an on-base percentage of .538, drawing eight walks and striking out only five times the entire season. Iliopoulos finished with 23 bases in stolen bases in 24 attempts, third in the league.
